Information is what the Internet primarily offers. This simple fact determines who wins and who loses in the traffic and page views race. The game revolves around entities that can give away free content. But the real goal is to make money out of these articles by converting visitors to become customers through affiliate marketing.

These article then must be indirect and subtle about selling products and services to readers. Direct advertising displeases readers. Article marketing through affiliate marketing is supposed to give them valuable information such as advice, news and references that address their needs. You don’t want to be just any other bloke that tries to sell them something, but a company generous enough to give them something they need.

Affiliate marketing is not as complicated as it sounds. Though there is a science behind affiliate marketing, it’s just basically like running any other business. The first step to make money is to have a bunch of affiliates attracting costumers for you. In this way, your business not only shares the popularity of its partners or “affiliates,” but also increases its visibility over the web, contributing to search engine marketing opportunities.

Usually, there are costs involved in carrying out your affiliate marketing strategy. The pay back is worth these initial costs anyway. In affiliate marketing, blogs have to be paid for posting links to articles produced by your companyyou’re official participants in your affiliate marketing plan, blogs that post links to your articles have to be compensated for their trouble. These blogs are usually written by regular guys who want to make money through the hobby at the same time by participating in companies’ affiliate marketing campaigns. It is recommended the affiliates disclose they are doing business with you, and the links are paid for.

Another method is to distribute articles that contain your company’s name as source. A pool of in-house writers that develop articles related to the company’s industry is built. Affiliate marketing is only involved once the articles are ready to be published. By now, my readers must notice that I describe these steps as simple as possible.

Many companies carrying out their own affiliate marketing campaigns are doing it wrong. They pressure their writers to come up with more and more articles each day, thereby compromising the quality. They don’t realize that botched pieces are not the key to success, since visitors have a certain criteria over what’s worth reading. Remember that you want them to associate the bio box and byline included in your articles with credibility. In affiliate marketing, quality over quantity remains true most of the time.

Articles written for or by businesses must be distributed through an affiliate marketing campaign. This online marketing technique entails building a network of sites that are paid by companies for driving traffic to their sites. Reader conversion is inevitable, since affiliate marketing increases visibility and credibility of merchants.
