Now that we are in the information age, it makes sense that personal and professional opinions about the latest in electronic devices and gadgets is accessible to just about everyone. With the coming of the blog, anything from gossip, to politics, there has arisen the tech blog. The greatest inside source on these little wonders that can keep us entertained, make our lives easier for work or play, and countless other tasks. These tech blogs highlight the latest advances in technological marvels and the failures of some companies gadgets in keeping up with the advances in electronics.
Odds are you have visited one of these tech blogs and read reviews on your digital camera before buying it. Tech blogs are basically product review pages and advice columns you can find across the world wide web, and they have given voice to the geeks. By virtue these blogs have brought geeks, nerds, and techies into vogue. You wouldn’t drop $400 dollars on a new camcorder if you didn’t at least look around for reviews, and who better to give them than these guys.
Many people are by nature loners, preferring the dependability of technology to the fickleness of human company. But these “geeks,” as we call them, are no longer runts to be picked on by bullies. Now we actively seek their advice on which new technological products we should buy and use or how to set up cell phones and wireless networks, to use just two of many examples.
Computer aficionados can help you in numerous ways with your computer experience. They can quickly help you rid your personal computer of viruses, spyware, and adware. Many high-end gaming sites are populated with users who would think nothing of spending over $5000 on a computer for gaming. These types of gaming sites are “for geeks, by geeks.”
The question now is not why someone would become a tech geek- it’s why isn’t everyone a tech geek? We are now surrounded by high technology products everywhere we go, from the garage door opener that lets us drive away from home to the laptops that we carry with us everywhere. You can call your home to make the lights turn on, and get coffee surrounded by your fellow computer users.
The advent of the tech blog is now letting many introverted geniuses voice their thoughts to the rest of the world. People who appear to be shy or withdrawn often transform into brilliant, creative masterminds when they type their thoughts on the Internet rather than share them verbally face-to-face with another person. Many people look to these blogs for advice and guidance before they will buy anything or do business with any company.
A technology blog is a useful tool when looking to buy an expensive piece of equipment. No one wants to spend $400 or more on a piece of technology without checking some tech news sites for reviews on the product. Many of geeks have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of computers including their hardware, software and virus or spyware removal. It is the tech blog where these introverts can come out and share their wealth of knowledge without having to worry about their social status. This is also where those who are clueless about technology can come for advice and guidance.
